In 2019 the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is once again committed to making a number of its shows accessible to patrons.
Many of the venues hosting Comedy Festival shows will be accessible for persons with mobility issues and we'll also have a number of shows and events interpreted by Auslan (Australian Sign Language) interpreters.
We are continuing to refine the added features to our website to allow patrons to search by accessible venues in the drop down menu at the top of the homepage, and included a list of Auslan interpreted shows below.
Auslan Interpreted Shows 2019
Please note that the full 2019 Festival Program will be available from Tuesday 12 February - check back after this time for the full list of Auslan Interpreted shows.

These shows are primarily physical or visual, with little to no spoken dialogue.
Relaxed performances
Relaxed Performances welcome audiences who may require a more relaxed sensory experience and casual environment. Audiences can expect a reduction in the intensity of light and sound, access to a de-stress break area, the house lights staying up, and a relaxed attitude to noise and movement from the audience during the show.
